Directions to GAK fields

From South Jersey:  Take I-295 or Rt. 206 or Rt. 130 to Bordentown.  Take Rt. 130 north (bear right where 206 and 130 split) to 2nd red light (at Harry's Army-Navy).  Turn right onto Crosswicks-Hamilton Sq Road.  At second light (about 2 miles), turn left onto Yardville-Allentown Road.  Make the next left onto Uncle Pete's Road (there are signs for the German American Club-GAK).  Proceed about 3/4 miles.   Turn left into the GAK. 

From the Shore and East:  Take I-195 to Exit 5A - Route 130 South towards Bordentown.  Before the 2nd light, bear right onto the jughandle (Home Depot is on your right).  Turn left at the end of the jug handle.  Proceed straight at the light onto Crosswicks-Hamilton Sq Road.   At second light (about 2 miles), turn left onto Yardville-Allentown Road.  Make the next left onto Uncle Pete's Road (there are signs for the German American Club-GAK).  Proceed about 3/4 miles.   Turn left into the GAK. 

From the North:  Take Rt. 130 south towards Bordentown, or take the Turnpike to Exit 7A onto I-195 West to Rt. 30 south).  Before the second light past the I-195 underpass, bear right onto the jughandle (Home Depot is on your right).  Turn left at the end of the jug handle.  Proceed straight at the light onto Crosswicks-Hamilton Sq Road.   At second light (about 2 miles), turn left onto Yardville-Allentown Road.  Make the next left onto Uncle Pete's Road (there are signs for the German American Club-GAK).  Proceed about 3/4 miles.   Turn left into the GAK. 

From the Trenton area:  Take Broad St. towards Yardville.  At the Yardville Bank, bear to the left (Yardville-Allentown Rd).  Proceed through the next two traffic lights.   After the 2nd light, turn left onto  Uncle Pete's Road (there are signs for the German American Club-GAK).  Proceed about 3/4 miles.  Turn left into the GAK.

EASTAMPTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL -- 20 minutes
From the North - Bordentown/Hamilton

• Take Route 206 South

• Continue south to light at Route 537 (Monmouth Road - 3 miles past Columbus Market)

• Turn right onto Route 537 (Monmouth Rd)

• Continue west 0.8 miles on Monmouth Rd

• Eastampton Elementary School is on the left just before the light at Smithville Road

  
  

VETERANS  DRIVE FIELD -- 45 minutes

From the New Jersey Turnpike

• NJ Turnpike to Exit 9

• Take Route 18 South

• Take the RACE TRACK RD ramp   0.1 mi

• Turn LEFT onto RACE TRACK RD  0.3 mi

• RACE TRACK RD becomes GLADSTONE DR    0.5 mi

• Turn RIGHT onto CHURCHILL RD       0.1 mi

• Turn LEFT onto WICK RD     0.2 mi

• WICK RD becomes VETERANS DRIVE

PARKING AT VETERANS FIELD IN SOUTH RIVER:

When playing at Veterans Field in South River, please note that the through street is a residential area.  It is everyone's responsibility to drive safely, park respectfully, and keep the area clean from litter.

 

THOMPSON PARK -- 35 minutes

• Take 130 North for approx 15 miles

• Turn right onto Route 32 East

• Route 32 East becomes Forsgate Drive / 612E

• Continue to the light at Perrineville Road (Gulf Station on left; CVS on right)

• Turn right onto Perrineville Road / CR-625

• Thompson Park will be on your left as you travel down Perrineville Road

• Continue approx 1 1/2 miles & fields will be on your left.
  

FORT DIX -- 25 minutes

From Route 206 South:  take left onto North Pemberton Road / County Road 630    OR

From Route 206 North:  take right onto North Pemberton Road / County Road 630

THEN

• Take North Pemberton Road approximately 3.0 miles until it becomes Pointville Road

• Go 2.0 miles on Pointville Road thru open gates marking base perimeter

• Continue another mile past fenced military housing on the left

• Entrance will be either the first military entrance gate on left, or you will be instructed by road signes to proceed to second "special events" gate 0.5 miles further down on left

• Whether entering 1st or 2nd gate, proceed straight for 1/2 mile and take right on Montpelier Ave

• Take left onto Doughboy Loop

• You should see the soccer fields on your right.
  

ST. AUGUSTINE PREP -- 1 hour

• Take Route 206 South until it becomes 54 South (towards Vineland)

• After 7 miles Route 54 will intersect Route 40

• Turn left onto Route 40

• After 3 miles turn left at the traffic light (Cedar Ave).  School is 1/2 mile down on the left.
  

ENCO -- 1 hour and 30 minutes

• Take 295 North (turns into 95 South after Route 1)

• Take Route 31 North exit

• Take Route 31 North to I-78 West

• Stay on I-78 West and go into Pennsylvania (don't take RT 22 — you'll have town traffic, lights and it is confusing through Easton to get to Forks Twp)

• Take I-78 West to RT 33 North (you pick up RT 33 not too far after you cross into PA, possibly the 2nd exit)

• Take PA-33 North to PA-191 exit towards Stockertown/Bangor (possibly the 6th exit)

• Turn right at the end of the ramp onto PA-191 - N/Industrial Blvd (You'll see a stop light when you're at the stop sign at the end of the ramp)

• At the stop light turn right onto Main Street and then you'll turn slight left onto East Center Street (you'll see a sharp curve sign)

• East Center St becomes Sullivan Trail.  You'll go through the stop light and you'll see a small airport on the right.  Just past the airport you'll see Lafayette College fields (on the right) and on the left you will see Eagles Club, 3201 Sullivan Trail

• Parking is in the back of the building

• IF YOU WENT TOO FAR:  If you pass American General Insurance Company on the left then you went too far.  If you start seeing a small shopping center, you definately went too far.  Turn around and look for the American General Insurance Company - we are just beyond that.
  

RUTGERS UNIVERSITY PARK -- 50 minutes

From NJ Turnpike North or South
Follow the Turnpike to Exit 9.  After the toll take Route 18 North.  Follow 18 North directions.

From Route 1 North or South
Follow Route 1 toward New Brunswick.  Exit onto Route 18 North.  Follow Route 18 directions.

From Route 18
Take Route 18 North through New Brunswick and continue over the Lynch Bridge (New Brunswick/Raritan River) into Piscataway

Take the second exit (Campus Road, Busch Campus) after the bridge.
Follow Campus Road to the circle.

Follow directions below to appropriate field.

UNIVERSITY PARK (grass and turf fields)
University Park is the fenced quad sports complex adjacent to the traffic circle.  Exit out of the circle onto Bartholomew Road.  Take Bartholomew Road to the gravel drive (gate should be open; if not wait) just past the University Park complex and before you get to the first intersection (Brett Rd).  Parking is in the gravel lot directly beside University Park.
